What is the difference between an original painting and an art print?
My original paintings are unique and one-of-a-kind creations crafted by my hand. Each stroke, color, and detail is exclusive to that specific piece, making it a truly special and irreplaceable work of art. My original paintings reflect my personal style, passion, and creativity, providing a direct connection between the artwork and me as the creator.
My art prints are high-quality reproductions of the original artwork. They allow art enthusiasts to enjoy and display my work at a more accessible price point. Prints are created using advanced printing techniques and high-quality materials to capture the essence of the original. While prints may not be one-of-a-kind like originals, they offer an affordable way to bring the beauty of my work into your space.
What is the difference between paper prints, stretched canvas and rolled canvas prints?
Great question! Paper prints are printed on beautiful matte, archival-quality paper and are perfect for matting and framing. Stretched canvas prints offer incredible texture and durability and arrive ready to hang without the need to frame. Rolled canvas prints are unstretched and offer the same texture and durability as stretched canvas but with the added flexibility to frame or display however you choose.
Can I hang a rolled canvas art print behind glass?
Yes. A rolled canvas print can be framed behind glass, but I recommend having it dry-mounted to a foam board first for best results. This helps keep the canvas flat and prevents rippling over time. Most local frame shops can advise on mounting options and handle this for you.
Rolled canvas prints are most commonly purchased so they can be stretched over stretcher bars after arrival, which is the traditional way to display canvas artwork.
Will the artwork arrive ready to hang?
Yes—stretched canvas prints and framed paper prints arrive ready to hang. Rolled canvas prints and unframed paper prints do not include hanging hardware and will need to be stretched or framed before hanging.
Do you offer frames?
Yes! Select sizes of paper prints and all sizes of stretched canvas prints are able to be ordered with frames, ready to hang. Original paintings, if listed without a frame, are also available to come framed. The wood frames are available in select colors and finish.
Why do the framed stretched canvas prints look like they have a black border in pictures?
The appearance of the black border in the product pictures is actually the space between the canvas and the frame since the frame is "floating." In reality, there is no border—it's simply a shadow between the canvas print and the frame.
Do you offer frames, matting or other sizes that aren't listed?
Absolutely! Contact me with your requests for specific frame colors or styles, matting options or specific size you need and we'll make it happen.
Does framing change the overall size of the artwork?
Yes. The listed size refers to the printed artwork only. Once framed, the overall size will increase slightly due to the frame itself. Most frames add approximately 1" per side, with natural variation ranging from about 0.75" to 1.25". Because each piece is created to order using handcrafted materials, exact dimensions may vary slightly.
